If you struggle to identify the kind of website you should create, the first step is to find out why you want to create a website.

But, what are the legitimate reasons for creating websites?

Reasons People Create Websites

People create websites for various reasons. Some of them are:

1. Showcasing or marketing their skills

2. Marketing their business, product, or service online

3. Blogging

4. Creating an online store

5. Creating a learning platform

6. Showcasing the organization's work and impact

7. Documentation for a tool or service

8. Sharing a passion or hobby with others

9. Creating a platform for people to interact

11. Earn money through affiliate marketing or ads

12. Creating enjoyable web-based games, trivia, and quizzes

I am sure there are other reasons. But these are the major ones I know.
